Honey Birdette, an Australian lingerie brand, has just launched its US e-commerce site and has plans to expand its three UK stores to 40 by the end of 2018. The brand was born in 2006 by Eloise Monaghan in Brisbane, Australia. Honey Birdette has just launched its US site after there was 374% increase in US online sales alone in 12 months. The new online platform will enhance the experience of the customer an will offer faster delivery, easier returns, and a larger product range for customers in the United States. The new site will even offer free shipping on orders placed that are over %50.
Honey Birdette is hoping to expand its retail stores into the US and wants to increase its market into the UK as well. Honey Birdette first opened a retail store outside of Australia in London’s Covent Garden last year and was followed by two more in Leeds’ Victoria Gate and Westfield White City.
The successful brand wants to open a total of 10 additional stores in the UK including at Leeds, Westfield Stratford, Liverpool, and Newcastle and has 40 more stores in mind for the end of the next year. Honey Birdette already has 55 stores in Australia and is scoping out other possible retail locations in Europe.
Honey Birdette was first born in 2006 when two friends were discussing how difficult it is to get lingerie and bedroom items that are sophisticated and provocative. Since there was nothing on the market at the time, they decided to come up with their own products.
